The US/world has sunk into a form of corporate fascism. Jeff tucker has a good article over this at the Brownstone Institute but he doesn't go quite far enough. The government "controls" Banking, National Defense, Climate, Education, Healthcare, transportation, energy, the media, social media, the culture, as well as the "conservatives" and "leftists" on Supreme Court, and the "left" and "right" in Congress and the Senate. There is no place where Leviathan has not extended its reach and control. Is this "Communism"? It's a matter of the technical definition of terms...the government doesn't "own" your property or mine. The government doesn't technically own the Fed, Boeing, Microsoft, Google, Raytheon, or Xitter. But their influence and control over these "public" entities are undeniable. We serfs exist to serve them. Their profits will be mandated. Their losses will be socialized until we run out of money ( nod to Thatcher) Going broke is the only thing that will bring the system down. And that day is accelerating, and Trump even if elected will be powerless to stop it. Communism and Fascism are really two sides of the same coin...totalitarianism and control.
As an example of going broke being the only thing to bring the system down, and also related to Joe Biden's idiotic EV mandate, it is "entertaining" to note the CEO running Hertz resigned for being such a woke dolt investing in tens of thousands of Teslas....impractical, expensive, expensive to maintain!!, with no resale value. I'm sure he'll walk away with a parting gift/golden parachute. Accountability never comes to these people.
