Trump Intends to Make America Great Again...Democrats Don't.
Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal
When Trump rolled out his campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” in 2016, he meant it. Like our ancestors, Trump believes that America is special. President Reagan spoke of our “rendezvous with destiny.” Teddy Roosevelt coined the phrase “manifest destiny.” America is exceptional and it has been our embrace of that belief throughout our history, which has ensured that America remains so.
The Olympic swimmer doesn’t climb down into the pool believing the Gold Medal belongs to another. He or she competes to win and wins because the individual believes himself or herself to be exceptional—better than everyone else. The same is true of nations, which throughout history have battled to distinguish themselves from others.
But Democrats no longer believe America to be exceptional. For whatever ideological reasons they hate America. Consequently, they fight to punish America rather than fight for the nation’s continued safety, security, and dominance. It’s a globalist mentality, whereby the globalist believes it to be unfair that America is uniquely successful. Thus the globalist and Democrat, who hate America, fight to diminish America on the world stage. It’s global equity.
This is why the media and Democrat party are having conniptions over President-elect Trump’s recent flurry of announcements that one, selfishly serve American interests, and two, strongly express his belief that America is the most important country in the world.
Let’s start with his announcement that he intends to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Why is this controversial to any American? Look at a map. The U.S. and Mexico share nearly an equal number of coastline miles along the gulf. Mexico is essentially a third world country run by cartels. Why should Mexico nominally claim the gulf when it’s shared?
Why do we give things names to begin with? What is the purpose? It’s about pride and ownership. It’s a psychological manifestation of our desire to give something importance in many cases. Names have meaning and significance. As global forces align to unseat the United States of America, many of them right here in our own country, renaming the gulf to the Gulf of America sends a very strong message that we are back in charge.
How about Trump’s desire to acquire Greenland as a U.S. territory? The abject America-hating morons that oppose such a move have zero comprehension of its importance to our own national security. Once an isolated and massive slab of ice, Greenland is today a strategic battleground. The Arctic is the backdoor to North America and both China and Russia have expanded their presence there. During World War II, while Hitler overran Denmark, it was the United States, which secured Greenland. We established an air force base there and used it to refuel our planes on their way to Western Europe.
Denmark is incapable of securing it. But it is in out our national defense interest to secure it. Greenland is up for grabs. The Chinese are actively seeking to expand their hold on the island. Should they, they will gain easy entry to Canada and then our own Nation. Greenland has a population of less than sixty thousand, but is the third largest non-continental island in North America. In other words, it’s third largest after the United States and Canada.
Greenland also wants independence from Denmark. It’s already effectively autonomous and only nominally associated with the Danes. So why shouldn’t we seek to acquire it? It also happens to be rich in natural resources. In short, it is in America’s interest to acquire it. So why do Democrats oppose it? Because they hate America.
How about Canada? Canada is weak and they’ve increasingly become hostile to America. Canada is where the British loyalists fled in opposition to the American revolution. I’m not keen on turning Canada into a state, which would give marxists Congressional seats, but why not make it a territory, if such a possibility exists? Attaining Canada would secure our northern border and certainly be a net gain for the United States.
Canada has very little relevant history. It’s a younger nation than the United States and for most of its history was simply part of the British Empire.
How about the Panama Canal? Again, only abject idiots with no comprehension of history or even present danger oppose our acquisition of it. We built it. We maintained control over it until the second worst President in American history Jimmy Carter gave it away to Panama. It wasn’t fully handed over until 1999 under President Bill Clinton.
Who relies upon the Panama Canal? The United States more than any other country. Roughly sixty percent of the ships traveling through are either leaving American ports or arriving at American ports. The Chinese, who Democrats continue to deny is our greatest threat and enemy, have expanded their influence there and unofficially gained control of it. What would happen if the Chinese shut it down? Who would suffer? We would.
Greenland, Canada, the Gulf of America, and the Panama Canal are all strategic interests of the United States. Democrats will never understand it because they don’t care about American interests. But we do. And none of Trump’s recent plans, however remote the possibility, are foolish. In fact, they are brilliant and put America first.
Democrats can’t tolerate this philosophy. That’s why they oppose it. They’re ignorant fools fighting for our enemies.
