A 2024 Reminder: Donald Trump Is the Only GOP Candidate Who Can Beat Joe Biden
We need to stop looking for reasons to hate Trump and focus on the real reasons to support him.
Personally, I’m growing very tired of the delusional only-Ron camp of Republicans, who repeatedly insist that Donald Trump cannot win the general election in 2024 while insisting that Ron DeSantis is not only the only candidate who can defeat the worst President in American history — Joe Biden — but even claim that Ron guarantees a Republican victory.
I’m not picking on people, who genuinely like Ron and would like to see him elected President, by the way. I am, however, condemning and disavowing the professional pundit class, which supports Ron because they hate Trump. There’s a difference.
These only-Ron, never Trumpers are devoted to ensuring that Trump isn’t re-elected. Sure, they can pretend their aims are noble and claim their objective of defeating Trump in the primary (which isn’t going to happen) is born from some patriotic duty. After all, they tell us Trump can’t win and so they merely want to ensure that Biden — or whoever replaces him — is defeated. But this is a lie.
Not only is DeSantis increasingly unpopular with Republican voters — even Vivek Ramaswamy, who no-one had ever heard of until he announced his candidacy, has surpassed him — but poll after poll shows Trump’s support growing with the sacred Independent voter, who these very only-Ronners claim will determine the outcome of the 2024 Presidential election.
The only-Ronners sound like the climate cult, which denies evidence, data, and reality that man isn’t responsible for any climate change in order to maintain their fetish and fantasy of man-made climate change.
One such dummy I’ve never heard of humiliated himself in an article recently published at Townhall, titled, ‘A 2024 Reminder: Ron DeSantis Is the Only GOP Candidate Who Can Beat Joe Biden.’
Dan Backer, the op-ed author, writes “Here's the hard truth: If Trump secures the Republican nomination, Joe Biden will be re-elected. But, if Ron DeSantis becomes the nominee, then the Democrats have little to no chance.”
How does Backer arrive at this conclusion? Do polls support this theory? No, the polls support just the opposite. Backer’s coping mechanism is simply to dismiss the polls. “Traditional polling is essentially garbage,” Backer says. “All that matters in 2024 is actual public sentiment” Backer says, “measured by people’s actual opinions, especially when they actually tell us about it all day, every day.”
I’m here to let Backer know that I’m an actual person with an actual opinion and perhaps he should listen to actual sentiment, rather than blocking it out to perpetuate his false world view.
What irks me — and a plurality of conservative voters — about Ron is his inherent delusion and selfishness. The greatest threat to America right now isn’t remotely debatable — it’s the third world weaponization of the Justice Department and Democratic Party to jail Donald Trump based on completely fabricated crimes.
If Democrats succeed in their jihad to end elections by jailing their most formidable political opponents based on a crock of lies, America ceases to exist and it will inevitably follow that political dissidence is outlawed. The Fourth Reich won’t rule over Germany, it’ll rule right here in the U.S.A.
The litmus test for morality and virtue for any Republican contender for the nomination is his or her ability to unequivocally denounce this despotic and criminal behavior by the left, which necessitates their support of Donald Trump. DeSantis fails this test.
DeSantis is leading one of the most disastrous and humiliating campaigns in American history. The DeSantis campaign should engage in some introspection and ask themselves why.
This isn’t an ordinary election. The only Ronners refuse to acknowledge the reality that Ron’s campaign is sinking like the Titanic by telling themselves that Trump wasn’t polling well in the initial stages of the 2016 Presidential election. But 2024 isn’t 2016. 2016 was an open field ripe for the taking. There was no former Republican President in the mix and no clear leader by double digits, as is the case presently.
Trump has maintained and even grown his double digit lead since announcing his candidacy and being joined by contenders and Ron continues to fall behind. Trump will be the nominee and the Party needs to unite behind him. The irony is that never Trumpers like this dummy Dan Backer claim they aren’t trying to divide the Party and they’re looking out for our country’s interest by backing Ron but in reality they’re dividing the Party and fulfilling their own prophecy by working to damage Trump’s chances in 2024.
We face an uphill battle against the monopoly of propagandists in the media refusing to cover the Biden scandal, while using their time spreading lies about Trump and doing their best to damage his brand and land him in prison. Ron and others should be fighting against the machine and defending Trump against this despotism. Instead they’re selfishly spending their time campaigning for themselves, which inhibits them from helping Trump.
Trump can win in 2024 but it requires a concerted and unified effort to get him there. Rather than using their influence to consolidate support for Trump, they’re using their influence to batter Trump and serve as megaphones for the left. It’s diabolical. Ron knows he can’t win, as do others, but he’d rather Trump lose and sabotage the country in protest.
I once celebrated DeSantis but find little reason or motivation to do so the longer this exercise in vanity continues.
DeSantis is ambitious. At times it appears his wife, Casey, is even more ambitious; as if she’s what Hillary was to Bill Clinton. While ambition alone isn’t a crime and it’s to be expected in any American, who seeks political office and certainly the highest office in the land, DeSantis’ very clear and methodical rise to power concerns me. I’m suspect of anyone seeking power — on my side or otherwise.
DeSantis is only 44 years old and he’s jumped from elected office to higher elected office. He got a law degree from Harvard in 2005 and joined the Navy, retired from active duty in the Navy in 2010, ran for and won a seat in the House if Representatives in 2012, and then abruptly resigned in 2018 to run for Governor of Florida.
In 2015 he announced his intention to run for the Florida Senate seat held by Marco Rubio after Rubio announced his bid for President, only to withdraw it when Rubio dropped out of the Presidential race. It’s worth noting that the open border and RINO Koch brothers endorsed DeSantis’ brief Senate bid.
DeSantis should withdraw his bid for President and salvage his political future. Whether you like Ron or not, the longer this continues his political future is in greater jeopardy.
DeSantis is a career politician, who clearly followed the blueprint to become a politician — Harvard law school, 5 years in the Navy, and then an entry into politics. Sure, a lot of people adopt this strategy. Its’s like becoming a doctor — undergrad to medical school, etc. This in itself isn’t alarming, of course — it’s the status quo.
But Desantis ran and won his gubernatorial re-election with Trump’s endorsement, only to turn around and begin campaigning for President after he was re-elected; coincidentally, running against the very man, who helped him succeed and win election for his first run for governor. You may very well dismiss this as the sign of a virtuous man pursuing power to serve his country, but I can’t view it in any other way than slimy.
It isn’t Trump supporters, who need to face reality that Trump can’t win a general — he can. It’s never Trumpers, who need to face the reality that Trump is our best shot, will be the nominee, and back him because he’s the best chance America has of escaping eradication by the Democrats and RINOs.
If Democrats can support Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in U.S. history, Republicans should be capable of supporting Trump. We need to stop looking for reasons to hate Trump and focus on the real reasons to support him.
Interactive Polls 2024 is reporting in 40 Swing Districts Trump losing to Biden, DeSantis winning. Independents & Democrats lean/vote for The Gov.
Agree, DeSantis needs to right the ship regarding his campaign or he will continue to sink. It's not over for him, why because he's not a dirtbag. He does what he says. Trump forgets he was in office & held the highest office in the land? He said he would drain the Swamp, end ObamaCare, balance the budget, build the wall(53 miles)? Instead he failed as a leader when we needed him most, March 2020/COVID. He was handled, directed. Dr. Scott Atlas in his book, Plague Upon Our House said the White House was amateur hour & he could not get the task force or Trump to pivot. One guy that did listen to him was DeSantis. Not one for mandates dates, but a mandatory age of 65 & term limits need to be implemented soon with Congress & the Presidency. It's so sad to see Biden, McConnell, Pelosi, Feinstein struggle & Trump would be 78 when he takes office, drinks 12 diet cokes a day, eats like crap & has 6 jabs in him, a real concern. The guy to this day thinks warp speeding this dangerous injection saved 100 million lives? Fauci, Birx, cdc, nih, fda, who, big harma handled him like a child. I want a President that won't get handled.
